Plot

Kansuke Yamamoto is a samurai with a vision of a united and peaceful nation. He joins forces with Takeda, the lord of the Kai domain, and persuades him to eliminate the ruler of Suwa, taking his widow, Princess Yu, as a concubine. Kansuke then convinces Yu to accept her new role and bear Takeda a son, pledging his loyalty to their cause. Over the years, he employs cunning, poetic insight, and strategic military tactics to expand Takeda’s territory and secure the claim of Yu’s son as heir, while gearing up for a decisive confrontation against the Echigo forces. Has Kansuke's ambition led him too far? Are his dreams, fueled by love, ultimately unattainable?
