Akihiko Hirata

Akihiko Hirata (Hirata Akihiko) was a prominent Japanese film actor, born on December 26, 1927, and he passed away on July 25, 1984. Throughout his career, Hirata appeared in a multitude of films, with a notable highlight being his involvement in Hiroshi Inagaki's acclaimed Samurai trilogy. However, he is perhaps best recognized for his significant contributions to the kaiju film genre. Some of his most memorable works include iconic titles such as "King Kong vs. Godzilla," "The Mysterians," and most notably, his portrayal of Dr. Daisuke Serizawa in the groundbreaking 1954 film "Godzilla."
