Plot
Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria struggles against his father, Emperor Franz Joseph I, who resists his son’s calls for social reform. Feeling out of sync with the conservative values of his time, Rudolf grapples with discontent in his loveless marriage to Princess Stéphanie. Amidst the tension, the charming Prince of Wales, destined to be King Edward VII, adds humor to the narrative.
