Plot
In 1911 Wales, a young Jewish man struggles to support himself by selling fabrics door to door, concealing his heritage. During his rounds, he encounters a shy woman whose domineering father and anti-Semitic brother pose significant obstacles. Their romance blossoms, leading to an unexpected pregnancy, at which point she discovers his true identity. As anti-Jewish riots erupt, their lives take a tragic turn, forcing them to flee and ultimately separating them. The film explores themes of love, identity, and the harsh realities of societal prejudice.
