Plot
Seventeen-year-old Sam Alden is the star of his high school baseball team, seemingly living the dream. However, his family becomes concerned when he frequently suffers from bouts of coughing. After a visit to the hospital, they are devastated to learn that Sam has a serious heart condition. Struggling to cope with his diagnosis, Sam puts on a brave face, trying to shield his parents from additional worry. As his health worsens, it becomes clear that he will need a heart transplant to survive. This marks the beginning of a grueling journey filled with numerous surgeries, tests, and an exhausting search for a donor, all while facing personal setbacks along the way.
