Plot

Abandoned in the desert as a baby, Evil Roy Slade (John Astin) grew up isolated and hardened, earning a reputation as the West's most notorious villain. His life takes an unexpected turn when he unexpectedly falls for the kind-hearted schoolteacher, Betsy Potter (Pamela Austin). Meanwhile, railroad tycoon Nelson L. Stool (Mickey Rooney) seeks vengeance on Slade for a previous robbery, enlisting his simple-minded nephew Clifford (Henry Gibson) in the scheme. As chaos ensues, Slade must navigate love and revenge in a world where his reputation is both a blessing and a curse.
