Plot

Thomas Garland, a clumsy Coast Guard ensign, struggles to step out of the shadow cast by his late war-hero father. His awkward attempts to woo the charming Kate Fairchild, who operates a sailing school, only add to his challenges. Complicating matters further, a trio of inept jewel thieves stir up chaos, hindering Thomas's romantic pursuits. As he navigates this comedic turmoil, Thomas must find a way to prove himself both as a competent officer and a worthy suitor, all while contending with the antics of the hapless criminals.
