Plot

As the US Navy fleet arrives in San Francisco, sailor Bake Baker seeks to reignite his romance with former dance partner Sherry Martin. Meanwhile, his friend Bilge Smith pursues Sherry's sister, Connie. Complications arise as Bake's clumsiness leads to job losses for Sherry, straining their relationship. On the other hand, despite Connie’s hopes for a future together, Bilge remains commitment-shy, creating tension. Amidst the backdrop of lively dance numbers and naval camaraderie, the two couples navigate love, ambition, and the challenges of their differing aspirations.
