Plot
Sergey Sobolev, a police major, is eagerly racing to the hospital on a chilly winter day, anticipating the birth of his child. Overwhelmed with joy, he speeds through the streets and tragically strikes a young boy, who dies from the accident. Faced with the grim choice of imprisonment or covering up his actions, Sobolev opts for the latter, seeking assistance from a fellow officer. As the situation spirals out of control, he ultimately decides to confront his guilt, but finds that the chance for redemption has slipped away.
