Plot

Lucky Jordan, a New York gangster, finds himself facing the draft and hatches a plan with a con artist named Annie to convince officials he should remain at home. When his scheme collapses, he is sent to boot camp but quickly escapes by taking a stunning USO worker hostage. Returning to New York, Jordan uncovers a plot by a rival gangster targeting the nation. As he navigates this dangerous underworld, Jordan must confront his past and make a choice between self-preservation and loyalty to his country.
