Hanna Senesh, a courageous Hungarian-Jewish resistance fighter during World War II, emerges as a symbol of bravery akin to Israel's "Joan of Arc." After fleeing Nazi-occupied Hungary for Palestine, she is recruited and trained by British forces as a commando. Upon completing her training in Britain, Hanna parachutes into Yugoslavia, where she works to create escape routes for stranded British pilots. Her mission to rescue Hungarian Jews ultimately leads to her capture, where she endures torture and ultimately faces execution by the Gestapo and the Hungarian police.
