Plot

Feeling trapped by her demanding royal duties, Princess Ann escapes for a night in Rome. However, after taking a sedative prescribed by her doctor, she dozes off on a park bench. An American journalist named Joe Bradley discovers her and brings her to his apartment for protection. The following day at work, Joe learns of Ann's true identity and challenges his editor that he can secure an exclusive interview with her. But as he gets to know her better, unexpected feelings begin to complicate his intentions.
