Plot
In the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City, the clash of modernization and deep-rooted poverty unfolds. A retired American Marine comes back in search of his daughter, whom he left behind after the Vietnam War. Meanwhile, a cyclo driver finds himself in love with a troubled prostitute and devises plans to earn money to be with her. Additionally, a young woman picks lotuses for a writer battling leprosy, while a young boy who sells trinkets faces a setback when he loses his traveling case.
