Plot

Eccentric Broadway star Elizabeth Madden stuns her team when she brings home a baby she found on the street. Determined to adopt the child, she realizes she needs a husband to make it happen. Elizabeth proposes a unique arrangement to her obstetrician, Dr. McBain, offering assistance with his rabbit research in exchange for marriage, and he agrees. What begins as a practical union blossoms into genuine affection. However, their newfound happiness is threatened when Dr. McBain's ex-wife appears, demanding financial support and complicating their relationship.
