Plot

Paula Nelson travels to Atlantic City, eager to reunite with her lover, Richard Politzer, only to discover he’s been murdered. Determined to uncover the truth behind his death, she crosses paths with Typhus in her hotel room, whom she inadvertently knocks out. Later, his body is discovered in the residence of writer David Goodis. This twist leads to Paula's arrest and intense questioning, thrusting her into a perilous world filled with gangsters as she seeks answers and fights to clear her name.
