Plot

Set against the backdrop of the Meiji Restoration in 1868, Sentaro enlists in a militia supporting the Tokugawa Shogunate to battle Imperial forces. His loyalty is tested by a cunning pickpocket friend who frequently changes allegiances for personal gain.
