Plot
Archie Grey Owl, a Canadian trapper in the early 1930s, finds his life transformed when a young Iroquois woman, Anahareo, seeks his guidance in Indigenous traditions. Living in the wilderness, she is horrified by the brutality of trapping, leading her to adopt two orphaned beaver kits. Inspired by her compassion, Archie abandons trapping to become a naturalist writer and conservationist, eventually hired by the government to protect beavers in Prince Albert National Park. As his biography gains fame, he marries Anahareo before heading to England, where his hidden background threatens their love.
