Plot

Nick and Jan settle into their new San Francisco apartment, only to be regaled by their eccentric landlady with tales of Maxie, a vivacious flapper who tragically perished in a car accident just before a crucial audition for Hollywood fame. To their surprise, Maxie’s spirit lingers, and she has the uncanny ability to possess Jan’s body.
