Plot
Rafael, the mayor of a small village, finds himself in a perilous situation during the Philippine-American War. As U.S. forces take control of his town, a relentless officer coerces Rafael into aiding their pursuit of Filipino guerrilla fighters. Complicating matters, Rafael's brother leads the local resistance and views any collaboration with the Americans as betrayal. Torn between loyalty to family and survival, Rafael grapples with harrowing choices that ordinary civilians must confront in a time of occupation and conflict. His struggle highlights the moral dilemmas faced in wartime.
