Chris Cooper
Christopher Walton Cooper, born on July 9, 1951, is a notable American actor celebrated for his versatile roles in numerous prominent films. His impressive filmography includes significant performances in titles such as American Beauty (1999), October Sky (1999), The Bourne Identity (2002), and Seabiscuit (2003). Cooper's portrayal of John Laroche in Adaptation (2002) earned him prestigious accolades, including both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. He also took on the role of FBI agent Robert Hanssen in the political thriller Breach (2007) and played supervillain Norman Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). Beyond film, he gained recognition as Sheriff July Johnson in the legendary miniseries Lonesome Dove. A frequent collaborator with director John Sayles, Cooper has worked on several projects, including Matewan (1987) and Lone Star (1996).
