Plot
Vendetta recounts a harrowing chapter in history involving Sicilian immigrants laboring on the docks of New Orleans during the 1890s. Following the brutal murder of the Chief of Police, a wave of panic ensued, leading to the arrest of many Sicilians for questioning. Thirteen men faced murder charges, and although nine were ultimately acquitted, their relief was short-lived. The threat of vigilantism loomed large, as a series of brutal lynchings revealed that the community posed as much danger as the corrupt authorities, highlighting a grim narrative of injustice and racial tension.
