Joaquim de Almeida
Joaquim António Portugal Baptista de Almeida, born on March 15, 1957, is a distinguished Portuguese actor whose career took off in the 1980s. He made his film debut in the 1982 action flick The Soldier, but it was his role as Félix Cortez in the 1995 adaptation of Tom Clancy's Clear and Present Danger that catapulted him to international recognition. Almeida further captivated audiences with his portrayal of drug lord Bucho in the same year's Desperado and gained fame as Ramon Salazar on the acclaimed Fox series 24. His role as the unscrupulous businessman Hernan Reyes in the 2011 blockbuster Fast Five solidified his status in Hollywood.
