Plot

Ralph Richardson's captivating Shakespearean performance in a London theater leaves a lasting impression, prompting his dresser, Fred, to request an autograph. Fast forward, and Fred, now a courageous member of the Fleet Air Arm, becomes a hero by saving a pilot from a fiery crash. In a twist of fate, when Fred visits Buckingham Palace, it’s Ralph who finds himself seeking an autograph from the once-ordinary dresser turned hero. Their roles have dramatically reversed, highlighting the unexpected turns life can take.
