Plot
A devious gang, featuring a menacing ex-con dubbed 'Gruesome' and a piano player, schemes to seize a scientist’s secret formula for a paralyzing gas. When Gruesome mistakenly inhales the gas and collapses, authorities mistakenly believe he has died and transport him to the morgue, where he unexpectedly revives and makes his getaway. This bizarre turn of events piques the curiosity of detective Dick Tracy. As the gang exploits the gas for a bank heist, Tracy realizes he must focus all his efforts on apprehending these criminals and foiling their plans.
