Plot

Chance, a naive gardener, has lived his entire life in the home of an elderly man in Washington D.C. After the man's death, Chance finds himself homeless and utterly unprepared for the outside world, having only absorbed knowledge from television. As he navigates the unfamiliar streets, his simplistic perspective and innocent demeanor lead to unexpected encounters and misunderstandings that unwittingly thrust him into the spotlight of society and politics.
