Plot
By 1964, a nuclear war has decimated the northern hemisphere, leaving a lone American submarine to seek refuge in Australia, where the facade of normalcy masks a deepening despair. Captain Towers struggles with the grief of losing his family in the catastrophe, while forming a poignant connection with the beautiful but troubled Moira Davidson, who develops feelings for him. As the submarine embarks on one last reconnaissance mission just weeks before the inevitable end, Towers and Moira navigate the complexities of love and loss in their dwindling time together.
