Plot
A struggling screenwriter, played by Wuhl, finds his old script resurrected when a producer, portrayed by Landau, expresses interest. As he embarks on a quest to secure funding, each potential backer—featuring Aiello, DeNiro, and Wallach—demands that their own mistress be featured in the film. In a comedic twist, the screenwriter's vision slowly erodes as he bends to their whims, leading to a project that bears little resemblance to his original concept. Ultimately, he grapples with the sacrifices made for financial support and the integrity of his creative work.
