Carnival Story (1954)

Plot

Willi, a German girl yearning for a brighter future, finds herself drawn to an American carnival passing through Munich. As she travels from one town to another, she navigates her feelings for two very different men: the ruthless carnival barker Joe, and the compassionate high-dive performer Frank. When Frank invites Willi to be part of his act, their chemistry makes them the carnival's star attraction. However, the thrill of success comes with risks, and a looming tragedy threatens to upend their newfound happiness.
