Plot

After escaping from incarceration in the Dominican Republic, a French woman of African descent seeks refuge in one of Santo Domingo's most perilous neighborhoods. There, she is embraced by a group of vulnerable children, who look to her for guidance and support. As she evolves into a maternal figure and their protector, her life takes a transformative turn, intertwining her fate with that of the children she now cares for.
