Plot

Baptista has two daughters, the beautiful Bianca and the headstrong Kate. As suitors flock to Bianca, Baptista insists that Kate must marry first. Desperate to win Bianca, the suitors search for a bold man willing to take on Kate, leading them to Petruchio, a fortune-seeker in Padua.
