Plot

Years after the intense confrontation with Majin Buu, peace is disrupted when Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens from his lengthy slumber. Accompanied by his attendant Whis, he discovers that Goku, a former pupil of the North Kai, has vanquished the notorious Frieza. Intrigued by this newfound power, Beerus seeks a challenge and confronts Goku, who, against King Kai's warnings, engages him in battle. Goku is swiftly overpowered, leaving Beerus's ominous question about Earth's worthiness hanging in the air. The fate of the planet now rests on the shoulders of its heroes to thwart the God of Destruction.
