Plot

Set in the 19th century, the Prince Regent of the Qing Dynasty orders the brutal execution of the Meng clan. As he faces death, the clan's leader pledges vengeance. A young Meng boy, Erkui, sings beautifully before his beheading, captivating opera star Master Yu and his student, Guan Yilong. Master Yu saves Erkui, and the two boys bond as brothers. After years of training, they seek retribution in Shanghai. They confront Master Yue, defeating him and reclaiming a prized plaque while seizing control of Yue's opera troupe, fulfilling the promise of justice for their fallen family.
