Plot

Orphaned Heidi is taken by her indifferent Aunt Dete to live with her gruff grandfather, Adolph Kramer, in the Swiss Alps. Through her kindness and joyful spirit, Heidi gradually transforms her grandfather into a beloved member of the mountain community. However, Dete returns to whisk Heidi away, intending for her to serve as a companion to a wealthy man's disabled daughter. Heartbroken by the loss of his granddaughter, Adolph embarks on a determined quest to reclaim Heidi and restore their cherished bond.
