Plot
Walter of Gurnie, a Saxon youth stripped of his inheritance, is driven from England in the 13th century. He embarks on a perilous journey with his companion, Tristram, joining the formidable General Bayan's army. Their adventure leads them to the opulent court of Kublai Khan in China, where they become entangled in complex political machinations.
