In the tale of Joseph, the beloved son of Jacob and a descendant of Abraham, jealousy among his brothers leads them to sell him into slavery. Despite this betrayal, Joseph's fortunes change as he ascends to the position of prime minister in Egypt. When a severe famine strikes, he skillfully manages the crisis. His brothers, unaware that their long-lost sibling is alive, travel to Egypt in search of grain. They are shocked to confront Joseph, the brother they thought they had lost forever.
