Set against the backdrop of the racially charged UK in the early 1970s, a collective of black musicians united in South London, driven by a shared passion for music and a message of peace. Known as Cymande, they blended jazz, funk, soul, and Caribbean influences, creating a distinctive sound symbolized by a dove. Despite achieving success in the United States, they encountered apathy in their homeland, leading to their eventual breakup. However, their music inspired countless artists across generations, from Soul II Soul to The Fugees, culminating in a triumphant reunion after four decades.
