Plot
A secret society in London, led by the unscrupulous lawyer Thaddeus Merrydew, faces a deadly crisis as members mysteriously die, leaving a trail of suspicion and greed. James Murphy's widow seeks Sherlock Holmes' help after her husband’s death leaves her destitute. As Holmes dives deeper, he uncovers connections to Captain Pyke, who has also been shot, and his enigmatic Chinese widow.
