Plot

Set against the backdrop of October 1941, the film chronicles the valiant stand of the Podolsk cadets near Moscow. Tasked with defending the Ilyinsky line alongside the Soviet 43rd Army, these young soldiers faced overwhelming odds as they fought to delay the German advance. In a fierce battle lasting nearly two weeks, approximately 3,500 cadets and their leaders sacrificed their lives in a desperate bid to protect their homeland. Their courageous stand became a poignant symbol of bravery, with many of them forever enshrined at the last line of defense outside the capital.
