Plot

Lesvos, renowned as the birthplace of the poet Sappho, has evolved into a sanctuary for lesbians since the 1970s. As new arrivals cultivate a lively queer community in a small village, friction emerges with local residents who also embrace their lesbian identity. Tzeli Hadjidimitriou, a native filmmaker and lesbian, adeptly navigates this intricate dynamic. Her documentary captures four decades of love, community, and tension, probing the deeper themes of acceptance and belonging in a historically rich locale filled with diverse identities.
