Plot

Former Confederate soldier Ben Lassiter, portrayed by Victor Mature, searches for a fresh start with his daughter. Their journey leads them to Beth, played by Elaine Stewart, who is engaged to a Union soldier. As romantic tensions rise between Ben and Beth, disaster strikes when they are ambushed by Native Americans.
