Plot

In 18th-century England, Will Plunkett and Captain James Macleane, hailing from starkly different social classes, forge an unusual partnership. They embark on a mission to liberate the wealthy of their possessions, quickly gaining a reputation as "The Gentlemen Highwaymen." Their exploits take an unexpected turn when they rob the carriage of Lord Chief Justice Gibson, leading Macleane to fall head over heels for his clever and enchanting niece, Lady Rebecca Gibson. However, their escapades attract the attention of the relentless Thief Taker General Chance, who has his own designs on Rebecca and is closing in on them.
