The Small One (1978)

Plot

Faced with his father's demand to sell their aging mule, Small One, a young Hebrew boy journeys to the bustling market of Jerusalem. Despite his efforts, no one seems interested in purchasing the beloved donkey, leaving him disheartened. Just as hope dwindles, he encounters a compassionate man named Joseph, who recognizes Small One's worth. Joseph buys the donkey to transport his expectant wife, Mary, on their journey to Bethlehem, forging an unexpected bond that highlights compassion and the importance of every creature in their lives.
