Plot
Solid citizen Al Willis finds himself in a precarious situation when he's questioned as a murder suspect, leading him to lash out at the police. After a brutal confrontation, he vows revenge. When Lieutenant Parks is found dead, Chief Conroy zeroes in on Willis despite the absence of evidence. Conroy's obsession leads to his dismissal from the force, but he remains relentless in tracking down Willis, who retreats to a seedy border town. As their cat-and-mouse game escalates, it becomes unclear who is truly unraveling—Willis or the determined Conroy.
