Riding the Wind (1942)

Plot

Ranchers struggle as their cattle face a devastating drought, all while Henry Dodge controls the vital water supply from his dam. When the construction of windmills allows water to be pumped, Dodge resorts to sabotage, destroying them to maintain his grip on the resource. As tensions rise, a court ruling compels him to release the water, leading Dodge to a drastic decision. In a desperate attempt to keep the ranchers at bay, he plans to blow up the dam, unleashing a catastrophic flood on the valley and escalating the conflict to dangerous levels.
