Plot

Hollis Figg, played by Don Knotts, is the town's most inept bookkeeper. When local officials acquire a used computer to hide their financial misdeeds, they mistakenly promote Figg, confident he won't notice anything amiss. However, Figg's newfound sense of importance leads him to stumble upon their scheme, turning the tables on the very people who underestimated him. With his oblivious charm, Figg unwittingly becomes the key to unraveling their deceit, leading to hilarious consequences for the city’s corrupt leaders.
