Plot

In 1960, an American bomber's wreckage was discovered in the Libyan desert, but the crew's remains were never found. Guerdon Trueblood's teleplay explores the haunting of the bomber's ghosts, who linger by their abandoned plane, yearning for a proper burial. Now a General after 25 years, navigator Russell Hamner joins a team investigating the crash site. Unbeknownst to him, the spectral crew, led by Major Devlin, schemes to reveal Hamner as a coward who abandoned them, threatening to tarnish his legacy and expose the truth of that fateful day.
