Plot
Kaji finds himself conscripted into the Japanese army, marked as a Red, and faces harsh treatment from seasoned soldiers. Throughout his service, he is appalled by the brutality within the ranks and stands up for fellow recruit Obara, who suffers under the system. Meanwhile, Kaji witnesses his friend Shinjô Ittôhei's defection to the Russians. As the war escalates, Kaji is thrust into a dire confrontation at the front lines, where he must grapple with the grim reality of battling against overwhelming Russian tank forces.
