Plot

Melvin Byrd aspires to be a scientist but finds himself working as a janitor at Cape Kennedy, tasked with keeping a crucial rocket project spotless. Armed with his quirky inventions, including a whimsical "knight on a white horse" to battle dirt, Melvin's mundane life takes a turn when he encounters Judy, a chimpanzee part of a secretive experiment. Curiosity leads him to the forbidden project room, where he discovers the astonishing effect of negative ionization—granting him the ability to soar through the skies like a bird.
