Plot

Elena navigates the challenges of single motherhood while relying on Social Services to support her and her son, Tom, who struggles with behavioral issues and faces bullying at school. With an absent father complicating matters, their bond is tested further when Tom is diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed medication. A shocking incident raises Elena's concerns about the drug’s side effects, prompting her to stop administering them. This decision puts her in conflict with Social Services, who threaten to separate her from Tom if she doesn't comply with their requirements.
