Plot
Dr. Martin Blake craves recognition in his medical career, and his encounter with 18-year-old Diane, a patient battling a kidney infection, provides him with newfound confidence. As Diane's condition begins to improve, Martin grows anxious about her potential departure. In a desperate bid to maintain their connection, he manipulates her treatment, intentionally prolonging her illness to keep her close.
